It's back. And it's gone Plaid! Violet Night 2023 is coming up on February 4th at Caribbean Rollerama. This year our Independence Day is Plaid/Tartan themed. If you like a fancy dress challenge - come along in as much Purple/Lavender/Blurple coloured plaid that you can muster.
Nine years ago at the start of February, East Vic Roller Derby became a 100% Skater owned and operated league. To celebrate our Independence Day, we welcome you to dress up in purple and meet our league for a fun social skate at Caribbean Rollerama. This year our Violet Night is Tie dyed- so dig out your hippy threads along with your purples, violets, lavenders and blurples and come for a roll with the Witches of EastVic. The Black & Blue bouts return this year in October once again but with a twist. The Small Humans join the battle! Bout 1 this year will see our Level 2 Juniors juke it out for a good cause. Bout 2 is still an hour of 18+ potluck madness you've all come to love. All proceeds go to Beyond Blue - helping to reduce the impact of depression and anxiety in the community. It's Home Bout time. July 6 at the Knox Regional Netball Centre for the princely sum of $10 at the door (cards welcome) you can see 2 games of Derby. First up is our Small Humans at 5.30pm and then at 7.30pm the feathers and fur will fly as our home teams juke it out once again.

Here we go again. Two bouts. Four pot luck teams made up of players from leagues across Victoria (and some even from even further!) All proceeds go to beyondblue, helping people cope with depression. This fantastic charity event brings skaters together to beat the hell out of each other for a good cause.
Our Small Humans are hitting the track at Knox Regional Netball Centre on May 19th in a Double Header. Our Level 1 South East Magic Rollers will play off agains the VRDL Small Stars in game one. And in game two, our Level 2's will strap on the wheels to play a Pot Luck team. Come and see the future of Roller Derby - you won't believe your eyes. Tickets can be purchase online or at the door. $10 for adults. Under 16's can get in for a gold coin donation. Doors open at 6pm. Wheels down at 6.45pm.

Our junior skaters and senior skaters come together again for three bouts. The first two bouts will showcase our amazing juniors who will be battling it out against the VRDL Small Stars. Bout 2 will be the debut of our new Level 2 skaters. Then the night will finish with our classic home teams; The Black Cats and The Snowy Owls. A lot of action for only $10 for adults and a gold coin for those 16 and under.
First up our EVRD/SSRD Juniors hit the track to play Westside. Then stick around to see the Black Cats and the Snowy Owls renew their spectacular Home Teams rivalry in this value for money double header. If you're under 16 - you get in for a gold coin donation.
2 Days of Roller Derby. 8 Games. 6 Leagues. Come and see the Witches represent at the VIC TAS tournament finals. EVRD's first game is at 2pm against Geelong's Bloody Marys. Get yourself to the YMCA in Derrimut, Crn Foleys Rd & Makland Dve.
Somewhere over the border Wagga Derby Dolls are making the long trek down to our lovely venue to battle the witches, in what will definitely be a night to remember. We have just confirmed that the half time entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Condiments, so if that doesn't tickle your fancy then the action packed derby bout defiantly will!!!!
Don't forget to dig under the couch cushions and empty the piggy bank for the fantastic market stalls we will also have on offer.

EVRD vs WSDD - We are pleased to announce that on Saturday April 6th 2013 EVRD will be hosting our first ever home bout. Doors open at 5:30 pm come a grab a seat ring side to watch our witches line up against the girls from West Side Derby Dolls in what will be an action packed show down in classic east meets west fashion.
